A huge and fabulous antique vintage round yellow layered galalith type of plastic double buckle closure for use on a coat, cape or cloak with a gold tone filigree center.
Similar to bakelite.
C 1900 - 1920s

Each piece of this vintage buckle is 2 1/2" round and the filigree center is almost 2".
They hook together with a heavy clasp and they have metal loops that are used to sew it onto the coat etc.
The plastic looks like bakelite, but it does not test as such.

I have shown it on a cape in one photo for size reference. Cape not for sale.

A statement piece! It could also be used on an antique hat or as a regular belt buckle.
