| An elaborate ladies genuine antique 1910
era black turban hat with pleated silk and trimmed with purple velvet and a
metal medalliion. A sprig of the original purple feather is still attached. The
inside is buckram with a silk gathered lining. In very good condition. This
charming hat is not a reproduction but a true antique. May be worn with extreme
care and delicate handling becaue of its age. |

| The hat is
formed buckram with elaborately pleated black silk that is draped and gathered.
A small wired brim is covered with the same silk. The metal medallion and
feather are original to the hat. A small piece of the medallion is missing and
there is very minor splitting to the swirled top "bow" piece with the
velvet trim. See the last picture for this piece. The inside is lined in black
silk and has the gathered oval. No label but a very well designed hat. This hat
can be worn with extreme care to prevent damage to
the old silk. |

has gathered and ruched at intervals. The side has a wider brim. |
