1940s Vintage Black Tilt Hat Large Felt Beret with Bow
A wonderful mid 1940s black felt vintage tilt hat in a huge beret shape. Another hat from my favorite era of dramatic hats.
This Forties Hollywood hat is a soft felt in a pancake shape with the rounded back piece. This hat sits toward the front of your head and is tilted to the side.
The large round flat piece is 11" around it stands up a little in the back.
A thin felt band and bow is attached at the area where the flat part starts.
A large looped felt bow adorns the top back.
At one time other bows or trim were on the front. All that is left is thread at this time. I left the thread intact in case you want to add something here.
This 40s hat is unlined and has a black grosgrain ribbon inner band and a back bow.
Size 23. Although, one size fits all.
In very good condition except for the missing original trim. It is fine without it.
The only problem I have found is that the felt sheds black a little due to the age.
No label, just the size.
Priced accordingly.
