SOLD. A bright sunny lemon yellow 1960s vintage basket style handbag purse with two short double handles that is made of woven plastic to resemble straw.
A small 60s preppy era summer pocketbook.

This fun vivid sixties vintage bag is made up of wide bands or strips of plastic straw looking material that is designed in an intricate pattern on the front and back.
It resembles a stair step or arrow design.

The frame and handles are the plastic strips also on this vintage purse. The frame is in a normal basket weave and the handles are wrapped with the yellow plastic.

The hardware and clasp are a brass colored metal and the clasp is a turn barrel lock.

The bottom has a piece of material on both sides that allows the bag to open. See the photos.

On the bottom of this vintage purse are little brass "feet" to prevent the bottom from getting dirty.

It is lined in heavy yellow vinyl with one side pocket.

8 1/2" wide by 6" high without the handles. The handles are 4" high.
3 1/2" sides.

In very good condition and it doesn't appear to have been used. The inside is clean and it does not have any tears or marks. The only flaws if you will, is that the brass clasp has a few scratches and age marks from storage.

This bright sunshine yellow handbag is not for the shy as it is very vivid and it will be sure to get attention.

My photos may show a green tint but it is lemon yellow.
