Vintage 1950's large face powder compact in pink oriental fabric that was brought or sent back as a souvenir from the Korean War for a sweetheart. Never used and in its original box.
Extra large and covered in pink oriental kimono style fabric with a print of pagodas, ladies and boats.
It is a silk type of fabric with red and silver accents.

The frame of this lovely compact is a silver tone metal and it has a large unused powder puff and sifter. The mirror is the entire size of the lid.
The vintage compact is 4 1/4" round which is super large.

By Lizard Brand and with an original price written on the box of $24.00. The hang tag is still attached to the powder puff.
The box is stamped Made in China.

The mirror has darkened very slightly from age as had the sifter fabric bottom. One side of the original box is missing.

A lovely reminder when ladies used powder and carried pretty vintage compacts in the bags.
This compact can be used again or used to decorate on your dresser. Or for the vintage compact vanity item collector.

This compact may be a little later and closer to the 1960s. But, not much later as in the 1970s the use of these compacts went out of fad.
This is not a new compact.
