Vintage 1940s Hair Snood Turban Wrap in Cream Fish Net Wear Two Ways WW ll
An original 1940s vintage WW ll hair snood or head wrap turban in off white fish net material to wear two ways.
This snood can be worn as a snood style with the gathers on the bottom to hold your hair and knotted on the top or turn it around with the gathers on the top and you have a turban style head wrap.
How cool is that?
It is a fish net type of crocheted material that has stretch to the one side. Similar to a bias cut fabric.
The hair or head piece is gathered into a knot to form the "pocket". The ends continue 19" down from the this piece.
With the two way design you can be Rosie The Riveter or Lana Turner depending on your mood.
Unfortunately, this vintage snood has some pink faded on to the ends which can be seen in the photo. This is cotton so it may be able to be dyed.
I did not do a lot of bleaching as I did not want to ruin it.
