1950s Vintage Handbag Brown Real Snake Skin Kelly Style Shape Pocketbook

Small Boxy | Snake Skin Leather | Brown
Vintage 1950s dark chocolate brown real snake skin snakeskin handbag in a small Kelly boxy shape. A narrow purse in a triangle shape with a short single handle.
This vintage bag is genuine snake skin. The bag has a brass metal side frame and flip up metal clasp. The front and back of the frame is covered with the snake.
The skin is applied in a vertical stripe pattern front and back. The front has a small half circle piece under the clasp.
The sides poke out and give the bag its triangle shape.

It is lined in brown fabric.
This vintage fifties purse is 7 1/2" high without the handle and 12" wide from pointed sides.

This vintage bag is not very wide or deep so not much can be put inside without damaging or stressing the snake skin. Don't over stuff it.

In good to very good condition. The handle has a few bends and the pointed side has a few lifting scales. This bag could be preserved by having a finish added to it to prevent the scales from lifting anymore. Tiny scratch on the clasp.

Usable with care.
A very classic ladylike vintage pocketbook from the early 50s.
