Incredible genuine mid 1940s vintage shoes with that Hollywood look featuring high 3" cuban heels, peep toes and sling backs. In yellow and brown genuine monitor lizard reptile.

That signature vintage chunky Cuban 40s heel seen in the old movies on Joan Crawford and others.

These top quality 40s vintage sling back shoes are lined with faille fabric material and the soles and heel caps are leather.
A forties high cut choked pump with an adjustable sling back with a small metal buckle.
The heel is wide and study and 3" high. The bottom of the heels are 1" wide. The sides of the heels are flat and the back is rounded. Very geometric.

These shoes come up high on the foot and have a true small peep toe.
They remind me of the ones that Bette Davis wore in Now Voyager.

The edges of the shoes are covered with material. This is the mark of a quality shoe.
The are marked Genuine Reptile and the maker may be Marquise.

Estimate of a size 6 - 6 1/2.
9 1/4" inside and bottom sole is 3".
These should fit a medium width. Please measure another pair of similar 40s shoes for sizing. I have a medium foot and I can get in them.

The condition of these shoes is very very good. No skin damage or drying. Good leather heels and soles.
Only the one buckle is somewhat rusty. The insoles have started to lift and curl.

Please note vintage shoe sizing is not always the same as modern shoe sizes.
